Our story

AKESO Inc. was first founded in September 2023, but our journey navigating healthcare started far before that. Like 129 million other Americans, each of our founding team members has faced the challenge of managing a chronic health condition.

We’ve struggled to track our complex symptoms, find reliable health information, and, too often, get our doctors to take our concerns seriously. Our health journeys have been frustrating, exhausting, and, at times, defeating.

So, our mission began with a simple goal: to design an all-in-one health tracker for real-life health challenges. We didn’t need another app that just counted steps, water, or calories. We needed a new tool that could capture the full picture of our health, help us recognize correlations, and make managing our chronic conditions easier.

But along the way, we realized that staying well isn’t just about tracking data — it’s also about having access to trustworthy information and a supportive community that truly understands your struggles.

That’s why AKESO became much more than just a health tracker. We also created The AKESO Forum, where patients, medical professionals, and content creators can connect directly, share insights, and support each other in an inclusive space.
