From the app settings menu, you can enable or disable HealthKit syncing at any time.
With HealthKit enabled, you can quickly sync the tracker data you record in AKESO to your device’s Health app, allowing you to access your data across any of your Apple devices effortlessly.
Enabling HealthKit sync
1. To enable HealthKit sync, first open your settings menu by tapping the triple bar (≡) icon in the top right corner of your screen.

2. Next, tap on “App Settings” to open the app settings menu.

3. Click on “HealthKit Settings”.


4. Tap the outlined checkbox to start enabling HealthKit sync.

NOTE: HealthKit settings are disabled by default.
5. A “Health Access” pop-up will now appear on your device.

6. Tap on “Turn On All” to allow AKESO to sync your saved blood glucose, heart rate, sleep, weight, and workout data from Health app.

Alternatively, you can manually select which data types you wish to sync by toggling on/off the sliders to the right side of each category.


7. When you are finished choosing which data to sync, tap the colored “Allow” button at the top right corner of the pop-up.

8. You will know that HealthKit has been successfully enabled when the checkbox displays a check icon.

Editing HealthKit settings
1. To edit your current HealthKit settings, first, open your device’s health app.


2. Next, tap on the circular profile icon in the top right corner of your screen.


3. Look for the “Privacy” heading and tap on “Apps and Services”.

4. Select AKESO from the list of available apps.

5. From this menu, you can turn off all HealthKit syncing, view what data has been synced to your Health app, and use the sliders to toggle on/off individual permissions.

6. Once you are finished editing your HealthKit settings, press the back arrow.

Your changes are saved automatically.
Disabling HealthKit
1. To disable HealthKit syncing, first open your settings menu by tapping the triple bar (≡) icon in the top right corner of your screen.

2. Next, tap on “App Settings” to open the app settings menu.

3. Click on “HealthKit Settings”.


4. Tap the colored check box to turn off HealthKit syncing within AKESO.

5. You will know HealthKit syncing has been successfully disabled when the checkbox no long appears colored.
